National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and BHIB Councils Insurance have published a new guide on conducting risk assessments for COVID-19.
The guide features tailored guidance on how to make risk assessments or adapt them to suit the current COVID-19 pandemic, highlights useful resources from government departments, and provides two templates designed for local (parish and town) councils. With the phased re-opening of buildings, organisations, and facilities, decisions surrounding re-opening are anticipated to vary from location to location on a case-by-case basis. Conducting thorough and well-managed risk assessments is anticipated to form a crucial aspect of the decision-making process for re-opening buildings, facilities, and organisations and this guide aims to provide practical and useful advice on managing every stage of the process.
